Neck Deep To Bring The Peace and The Panic Tour to Manila With Special Guests Patriots

PULP Live World and Bazooka Rocks present NECK DEEP: THE PEACE AND THE PANIC TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUESTS PATRIOTS, happening on March 18, 2018, at Skydome, SM North EDSA. The Welsh pop punk gamechangers first came to party with their Filipino fans on January 28, 2016. This time around, in support of their biggest album yet, expect it to be bigger, louder, and crazier.

Over the course of only five years, Neck Deep (currently composed of Ben Barlow on vocals, Dani Washington on drums, Fil Thorpe-Evans on bass, and Matt West and Sam Bowden on guitars) has become one of the most important bands in pop punk. Since their independently released debut EP Rain in July in 2012, they’ve been making waves nonstop. They were signed to their current label Hopeless Records just a year after their formation. Their 2013 sophomore EP A History of Bad Decisions had “catchy songs with heart and soul,” said Rock Sound’s Andy Ritchie, and their debut full-length Wishful Thinking (released in 2014) was included in the publication’s “The 51 Most Essential Pop Punk Albums of All Time” list. With their second full-length, 2015’s Life’s Not Out to Get You, they gained the stamp of approval of A Day To Remember’s Jeremy McKinnon. McKinnon not only did guest vocals on the song “Kali Ma,” but he co-produced the album as well. In 2016, they caught the attention of more legends when they recorded two new versions of the song “December.” One features Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus, while the other features Dashboard Confessional’s Chris Carrabba.

Their third and latest full-length album is The Peace and the Panic. More introspective compared to their previous releases, Barlow told Alternative Press that after “a period of uninterrupted happiness,” he experienced an epiphany. He said, “This panic, this horrible dread, this anxiety, this stress – I’m meant to feel like this so I can experience the good with it. I can’t get one without the other.” The band also branched out sonically with the help of producers Neal Avron and Mike Green. Barlow said Green “pushed [them] on structure” and made them “think about every part of [their] songs,” while Avron “brought in a rock-heavy feel and mix.” On the song “Don’t Wait,” they enlisted an unlikely guest: Sam Carter, vocalist of metalcore band Architects. The emotional honesty and risks the band took evidently resonated with fans. The Peace and the Panic is their first album to land on the top 10 of the Billboard 200, hitting No. 4. Alternative Press reported that it is Hopeless Records’ highest charting effort in two years.

Supporting Neck Deep is Malaysia’s pop-mosh veterans, Patriots. The band consists of vocalist Ayeen, guitarists Aiman Afzal and Najmi Afifi, bassist Muhd Hakimi, and keyboardist Faizul Bong. Their band is known for their high energy on and offstage and their heady mix of pummelling riffs and stadium-worthy choruses. Originally forming in 2007 as Heart-a-tack, they are currently signed to Universal Music Malaysia and have worked with international pop-punk/metalcore stalwarts Eric and Bert Poncet of Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! and David Escamilla of Crown The Empire. Their debut EP, Stand Off, was released on January 22, 2016.

NECK DEEP: THE PEACE AND THE PANIC TOUR WITH SPECIAL GUESTS PATRIOTS takes place on March 18, 2018, at the Skydome, SM North EDSA, presented by PULP Live World and Bazooka Rocks. FALLING IN REVERSE TO MAKE MANILA DEBUT WITH COMING HOME ASIA TOUR 2018

Metalcore provocateurs FALLING IN REVERSE are making their Philippine debut as they bring their incendiary live performance to our shores on April 10, 2018 with COMING HOME ASIA TOUR. Powered by PULP Live World, this historical event happens at the Skydome, SM North EDSA.

Lead by enigmatic frontman and Las Vegas, Nevada native Ronnie Radke after his departure from contemporaries Escape the Fate, FALLING IN REVERSE currently consists of rhythm guitarist Derek Jones, bassist Zakk Sandler, lead guitarist Christian Thompson, and touring drummer Michael Levine. They are currently signed to Epitaph Records.

Never the one to be conventional, the band has proven to be excitingly unpredictable with every release. While their foundation is built on metalcore, the band is never content with sticking to one style. They’ve mingled with glam metal (in their debut album The Drug In Me Is You), hip-hop (in sophomore release Fashionably Late), and pop rock (in their third full-length Just Like You). In their latest album, Coming Home, they continue to break creative barriers.

“It’s a huge left turn,” Radke told Alternative Press. “It sounds like nothing we’ve ever done… We’re challenging ourselves now more than we ever have in the weirdest ways possible, because you would think writing the craziest solo or riffs would be the challenging part. But the challenging part is trying to stick to a theme and not go all over the place like we would normally do."

The album is a deeply personal one for Radke. The band describes the album as what he “dreamed about making as a kid, teaching himself to play guitar with Blink-182 and Green Day songs, rapping along to Dr. Dre and Eminem, skipping school, going to shows, and doing whatever it took to redefine his life beyond the hardscrabble circumstances of his upbringing, even when the obstacles were of his own design.”

The risks the band took were not lost on critics. The album received generally favorable reviews, with AllMusic calling it the band’s most mature album to date “with its exciting blend of styles that prevents the collection from ever seeming stagnant or indistinguishable.” The publication also praised it for its “rocket-ship energy.” With the band being at their creative peak, FALLING IN REVERSE’s debut show in Manila will surely be another one for the books.

FALLING IN REVERSE COMING HOME ASIA TOUR 2018 Live in Manila, presented by PULP Live World, takes place on April 10, 2018 at Skydome, SM North EDSA. Gates open at 6PM and show starts at 8PM. Tickets are priced at Php 2,200. Ticketing service charges apply. Tickets will be available on February 9, 2018 (10AM) at all SM Ticket outlets nationwide and online (www.smtickets.com). EXO PLANET #4 – THE ELYXION IN MANILA

Your invitation has arrived—PULP Live World is proud to announce the sensational return of EXO to Manila, bringing their BIGGEST concert tour yet to Filipino EXO-Ls. Featuring the group’s heaviest production to date (biggest amount of LED screens, motion-capture system, moving kinesis lighting, blockbuster-like VCR, and stereoscopic stage design), EXO PLANET #4 — The EℓyXiOn in Manila is set to take place this coming April 28, 2018 at the MOA Arena.

It has only been a year since the two-day madness of the EXO’rDIUM in Manila, and fans are sure to recall quite clearly the epic, out-of- this-world shows given to us by Xiumin, Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. Those concerts were spectacles to behold from start to finish, and it’s almost unimaginable how the group aims to outdo themselves, yet they have effortlessly done so every single time. To the delight of their loyal fans all over the globe, EXO shows no sign of stopping as they remain to be in full power.

Fresh from the success of their fourth full-length album The War, EXO continues to thrive. They were named Artist of the Year in the 2017 Melon Music Awards, as well as in the 2017 Asia Artist Awards. Released on July 18th, 2017, The War was awarded Album of the Year in the most recent Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA). This marks a record-breaking win for the now quadruple-million sellers as it was their fifth consecutive Album Of The Year win since they first won the daesang in 2013 with their first full-length album XOXO. The album shot straight to the No. 1 spot on various charts like the Billboard World Album chart and the Gaon chart, also becoming No. 1 on iTunes in over 50 countries. Not to mention, The War also became the best-selling KPop album of 2017 in under a week. Within the first hour of the release of the viral and iconic track “Ko Ko Bop” alone, they accumulated over 78,000 unique listeners—the second-highest number of listeners recorded of all time.

The repackaged The War: The Power of Music was also unsurprisingly a chart-topping commercial success, being number one in over 40 countries. As if that wasn’t enough, EXO followed this up with another successful release in December, their special winter album Universe. It topped Billboard’s K-Pop Hot 100 and also hit No. 1 in at least 27 countries. The list of everything EXO accomplished in 2017 goes on—all of this speaks volumes about how wide EXO’s reach has grown on a global scale, making their ongoing concert tour something to truly look forward to.

All the while enjoying the record-breaking success of The War, EXO was setting out to reveal their fourth concert tour, The EℓyXiOn, which was announced by S.M. Entertainment in October. It kicked off with three dates at the massive Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul come November, with all 66,000 tickets selling out in 0.2 seconds, breaking their own record of selling over 67,000 tickets in 0.4 seconds during The EXO’luXion back in 2015. The EℓyXiOn kickoff shows were some of the biggest ever in KPop history with topnotch production components and overwhelming, vivid visuals—it was sure to be one of KPop’s most stunning productions. EXO welcomed their fans to nothing short of a grand musical fantasy, with the show running for nearly three hours and giving space for the members to have strong individual stages.

They’ve since brought this exciting concert tour to Japan with other dates in Asia now scheduled. It won’t be long now until EXO fulfills their promise of coming back to the Philippines. Once again, they are inviting Filipino EXO-Ls to see them this summer, eager to make more wonderful memories with some of their most dedicated fans. This time, they’re sure to flood everyone’s senses even more than they ever have before, inviting their audience into their utopia—the spectacular, astounding EℓyXiOn.

Surely, no EXO-L would want to pass up on EXO’s invitation. Get ready for another round with the boys and witness EXO give their most exhilarating performance yet. EXO PLANET #4 — The EℓyXiOn in Manila, happening on April 28, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena, is brought to you by S.M. Entertainment, Dream Maker Entertainment, Globe and PULP Live World. Show starts promptly at 6PM. Tickets will go on sale on March 4, 2018 (10AM) and will be available at all SM Tickets outlets nationwide or call 470-2222 or online (www.smtickets.com). BEHEMOTH, AT THE GATES, AND CRADLE OF FILTH HEADLINE PULP SUMMER SLAM 18: OF GOOD AND EVIL

PULP LIVE WORLD proudly announces the full line-up of PULP SUMMER SLAM 18: OF GOOD AND EVIL. The 18th edition of Southeast Asia’s longest-running metal festival takes place on May 5, 2018 at Amoranto Stadium, Quezon City. The line-up boasts of 13 international bands and 3 of our very own, making it the largest international roster in the festival’s history. Headlining the festival are metal gods BEHEMOTH, AT THE GATES, and CRADLE OF FILTH, while supporting acts DEATH ANGEL, CROWN THE EMPIRE, JINJER, ATTILA, CRYSTAL LAKE, NERVECELL, SECRETS, FLESH JUICER, BURNING ISLAND, and BLOODY TYRANT complete the globally diverse list. The local acts include SKYCHURCH, TYPECAST, and VALLEY OF CHROME.

Making their Manila debut is Poland’s blackened death metal legends BEHEMOTH. The band is currently comprised of guitarist and vocalist Adam “Nergal” Darski, drummer Zbigniew “Inferno” Promiński, bassist Tomasz “Orion” Wróblewski, and guitarist Patryk “Seth” Sztyber. With their albums like Satanica, Demigod, and their most recent The Satanist, not only did they have a significant role in the development of the Polish underground metal scene, but also extreme metal as a whole.

Also making their Manila debut is Sweden’s AT THE GATES. One of the bands that were at the forefront of the melodic death metal movement with their seminal albums Terminal Spirit Disease and Slaughter of the Soul, the band is currently comprised of vocalist Tomas Lindberg, drummer Adrian Erlandsson, bassist Jonas Björler, rhythm guitarist Martin Larsson, and lead guitarist Jonas Stålhammar.

After giving their Filipino fans a taste of their brand of symphonic black metal back in Pulp Summer Slam XV: Angels Descend, England’s CRADLE OF FILTH – who are hot on the heels of their latest full-length Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness of Decay - are making their much-awaited return. The band is currently comprised of vocalist Dani Filth, drummer Martin “Marthus” Škaroupka, bassist Daniel Firth, keyboardist Lindsay Schoolcraft, guitarist Richard Shaw, and guitarist Marek “Ashok” Šmerda.

For the supporting acts, two more bands are about to make their return to the Slam. Thrash metal legends DEATH ANGEL, who are known for their anthems “Bored,” “Thrown to the Wolves,” and “Truce” among others, are coming back for the fourth time, while Dubai-based technical death metal band NERVECELL, who just came out with their latest album Past, Present… Torture, will be coming back for the second time. Also in the line-up are acts that are making their Slam debut. Hailing from Ukraine, JINJER is a progressive metal band with hard-hitting hardcore and groove metal influences. From Japan comes CRYSTAL LAKE, known for their djent-infused metalcore sound. Hailing from America are metalcore bands SECRETS, CROWN THE EMPIRE, and ATTILA. Secrets are known for their equally melodic and heavy sound, while Crown The Empire have caught the attention of many with their anthemic hard rock leanings. Attila have amassed a strong following across the globe with the integration of rap in their sound and their uncompromising and no-holds-barred attitude.

Making the Slam even bigger are three bands bringing in more Asian metal to the mix. With the triple threat of FLESH JUICER, BURNING ISLAND, and BLOODY TYRANT just added to the lineup, the Slam presents the best that Taiwan’s metal scene can offer.

As for the local acts, metal statesmen and local legends SKYCHURCH head the trio. To add more musical diversity, TYPECAST are added into the mix as the only representatives of emo in the whole festival. VALLEY OF CHROME, one of the driving forces of modern pinoy heavy metal, completes the list.

This year’s Slam isn’t just the largest international line up yet—it’s also the most globally diverse, drawing talent from different corners of the world.

PULP SUMMER SLAM 18: OF GOOD AND EVIL featuring BEHEMOTH, AT THE GATES, CRADLE OF FILTH, DEATH ANGEL, CROWN THE EMPIRE, JINJER, ATTILA, CRYSTAL LAKE, NERVECELL, SECRETS, FLESH JUICER, BURNING ISLAND, BLOODY TYRANT, SKYCHURCH, TYPECAST, and VALLEY OF CHROME is presented by PULP Live World in cooperation with Tribal and TM, with official media sponsors Monster RX 93.1, MYX, The Philippine Star, and PULP Magazine. HALSEY HOPELESS FOUNTAIN KINGDOM WORLD TOUR LIVE IN MANILA

Getting ready to close off the whirlwind of a cycle that it’s been, Halsey has announced the final installment of her massively successful Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour. The GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum songstress will now be making her way to Australia and New Zealand, Latin America, North America, and then Southeast Asia, following earlier runs of Halsey’s biggest tour yet.

PULP Live World is proud to announce that this last stretch of the World Tour includes a date in the Philippines. The Manila leg of the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour / Final Installment will be taking place on August 10, 2018 at the Araneta Coliseum. It will be Halsey’s very first time playing in the country, much to the excitement of her ardent Filipino fans who have been hoping and waiting to see her live since as early as 2014.

It was in 2015 when Halsey released her first studio album, BADLANDS, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with close to 100,000 copies sold within the first week of its release. BADLANDS followed her EP Room 93, which she released in 2014—the year she signed with Astralwerks Records. With singles such as the previously released “Ghost,” “New Americana,” and “Castle,” BADLANDS saw Halsey reaching and enticing a much wider audience beyond Soundcloud and Youtube where she started out.

But aside from her own material, others know Halsey as the captivating voice accompanying other outstanding artists’ hits. This includes Justin Bieber’s track “The Feeling” off his award-winning album Purpose, and, more notably, The Chainsmokers’ smash hit “Closer.” The latter earned her and the EDM-pop duo a GRAMMY® Award Nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Moreso, on her own, she continues to rise as an icon. In June 2017, Halsey released her second full-length album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. With songs like the double-platinum-certified “Now or Never” and “Bad At Love,” Hopeless Fountain Kingdom shows Halsey transcending creative boundaries and successfully building on the success of her strong debut back in 2015.

She recently graced the stage of Saturday Night Live with “Bad At Love,” also performing with G-Eazy on their Bonnie and Clyde-themed platinum-certified “Him & I”—a song which continues to dominate at the top of both Billboard’s Pop Songs Airplay Chart and Top 40 radio (marking the second No. 1 she features on since lending her voice to The Chainsmokers on “Closer”). She has also just released her new single, “Alone,” featuring the swaggering Big Sean and Island-trailblazer Stefflon Don. “Alone” surpassed 1 million streams on both Spotify and Apple Music in three days. In the US, “Alone” has been added to 90 Top 40 stations in its first week.

Not only has Halsey grown by leaps and bounds as a musician; she has also become a highly-regarded and empowered role model, expanding her influence and using her voice to speak about advocacies that matter. US non-government organization GLAAD gave her recognition by nominating her as Outstanding Music Artist. People also remember her for an impassioned speech at the 2018 Women’s March where she stood in solidarity with women fighting for equality.

In keeping with her advocacy for equality and empowerment, the Final Installment of the Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour features support from a set of incredible, buzzing, and accomplished women artists. Joining Halsey for the Asian leg of the upcoming tour is NIKI, a rising R&B songstress from Jakarta, Indonesia, who is behind entrancing songs like “I Like U,” “Chilly,” and “See You Never.”

Don’t miss out on Halsey’s debut performance in the Philippines! HALSEY Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour Live in Manila with Special Guest NIKI will happen this coming August 10, 2018 at the Araneta Coliseum. Gates open at 6PM and show starts at 8PM. This show is presented by PULP Live World. Tickets will go on sale on May 20, 2018 (10AM) at all TicketNet outlets and online thru www.ticketnet.com.ph.
